Dr. Vassighi is a supervisor at Bastyr University Clinic and an assistant professor at Bastyr University California.
Clinical Interests:
Dr. Vassighi has a special interest in homeopathy and utilizing it as the primary treatment for acute and chronic conditions. She treats a wide variety of conditions but is particularly interested in treating digestive disorders, including GERD, IBS, SIBO, Crohn's and ulcerative colitis.
Healing Philosophy:
She believes that the combination of natural medicine and a patient-centered approach are integral to true healing. She likes to collaborate with patients to make health care decisions together and encourages them to take an active role in their health care.
Past Experience:
Dr. Vassighi taught at the graduate level as both adjunct and full-time faculty at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine from 2012-2015, in addition to running a successful private practice in Tempe, Arizona.
Education & Affiliations:
Dr. Vassighi received her doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2010 and completed residencies there in both general medicine and homeopathy. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in French Language, both from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is one of a few naturopaths in the nation who has completed a specialized residency focused on homeopathic training, making her part of an elite group of highly skilled homeopaths.
