Dr. Maya Roth is a clinical supervisor and residency director at Bastyr University Clinic. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences in the School of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in San Diego.
Clinical Interests:
Dr. Roth takes a special interest in pediatrics, immune and digestive health, and thyroid and endocrine balance.
Healing Philosophy:
She utilizes nutritional supplements and botanicals, dietary and lifestyle modification, and bio-identical hormone replacement when indicated, to address patients' health challenges. Dr. Roth has an additional clinical focus on the use of biofeedback to cultivate resilience and manage stress.
Past Experience:
Previous to arriving at Bastyr, Dr. Roth practiced naturopathic medicine in Los Angeles, California, for six years at the Chiropractic Center of Los Angeles.
Education & Affiliations:
Dr. Roth earned a doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was one of only two national recipients of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians’ STAIR Scholarship and Residency, and completed her residency training at Comprehensive Health Services in Phoenix, Arizona. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and economics from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
