Jennifer Cornell, ND



Dr. Cornell is a clinic supervisor at Bastyr University California, practicing family medicine, including women’s health, pediatric and adolescent medicine.

Clinical Interests:

Dr. Cornell helps patients address a wide variety of conditions, such as allergies, asthma, skin conditions, fatigue and unintended weight gain, chronic pain, gastrointestinal disorders, diseases of the kidney and liver, and endocrine disorders including thyroid and adrenal function.

Healing Philosophy:

Dr. Cornell believes in working with the body's innate ability to heal itself and seeks to address the root cause of illness and injury. She uses a natural medicine approach that combines Eastern and Western medicine and evidence-based medicine using diet and lifestyle, botanicals, nutrients, homeopathy and physical medicine, including craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation. As a ballet dancer for over two decades, Dr. Cornell experienced firsthand the vital importance of healthy eating and lifestyle habits for meeting the demands of high-level performance. This understanding has helped her to explore the relationship of healthy eating and activity level across all levels of fitness and wellness. Together, Dr. Cornell and her patients develop a personalized plan for success in being healthy and active.

Past Experience:

Dr. Cornell has worked in research at The Scripps Research Institute, the University of California, San Diego and at Bastyr University in Kenmore in association with the University of Washington, School of Medicine.

Education & Affiliations:

Dr. Cornell received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington, and completed a one-year residency program at Bastyr University California. Dr. Cornell received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California at San Diego and a certificate in Oriental Body Therapy and TuiNa at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Dr. Cornell is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. She also speaks Portuguese and French.
