Emily Takeuchi-Miller, ND



Dr. Takeuchi-Miller is a clinical supervisor at Bastyr University California. She is an adjunct professor in the naturopathic medical program.

Clinical Interests:

She loves treating a variety of conditions and enjoys seeing patients of all ages and concerns. Her special interests include primary care medicine, Mind-Body medicine, and gastro-intestinal illnesses.

Healing Philosophy:

Each and every patient has a unique story to tell. Dr. Takeuchi-Miller believes that the best medicine is performed when doctors and patients work together in partnership to achieve optimal health. Dr. Takeuchi-Miller looks for the root cause in each case and utilizes different modalities to empower patients on their healing journey.

Past Experience:

Dr. Takeuchi-Miller completed two years of general medicine clinical rotations at Bastyr University California. She has completed rotations specializing in adjunctive cancer care, endocrinology, IV medicine and emergency medicine. She holds additional certifications in cranial sacral therapy and Kinesio taping.  In addition to her clinical rotations, she has done volunteer work in community clinics around San Diego, California

Education & Affiliations:

Dr. Takeuchi-Miller received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University California. She is currently completing her medical residency at Bastyr University Clinic. Dr. Takeuchi-Miller received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a minor in Japanese. Prior to entering medical school, she spent three years in Japan teaching English to children grades 5-9. Dr Takeuchi-Miller is currently in the process of completing her board certification in biofeedback through the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback. She is a licensed naturopathic doctor and a member of the Arizona and California Naturopathic Doctors Associations.
