Probiotic foods and dietary supplement products are proliferating in the marketplace and making a diverse array of health claims. At the same time, prebiotic as well as the microbiome have become an area of health focus. Dr. Chris Farrelly, ND, First-Year Resident, will share an overview of probiotics and their use, and then compare them with prebiotics and synbiotics. His talk will cover conditions that can benefit from pre- and probiotic use, how to take them, how to store them, and important types and strains to be familiar with.
Light refreshments and special offers available for all in attendance. No registration necessary.
