Licensed as primary care doctors in California, NDs view themselves as teachers, helping patients understand how to nurture their own health. Our licensed NDs have all graduated from four-year, in-residence, doctoral-level naturopathic medical schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and respective regional programmatic accrediting bodies. Throughout their training, NDs are educated in all of the same biomedical sciences as conventional medical students. In addition, ND students study holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness.
